Arnold Otis Radford

Mr. Arnold Otis Radford, 89, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born December 10, 1931, in Floyd County, VA, to the late Hardin Otis and Lorean Ola Epperson Radford.  Arnold was a farmer, who will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends, and a member of White Plains Friends Meeting.  He is survived by his children, Jan Lyons and her husband, David, Jim Radford and his wife, Joanna, and Eddie Radford and his wife, Libby; his grandchildren, Tabatha Mauldin and her husband, Eric, Ted Radford and his wife, Christy, Drew Simpson and his wife, Angela, Dylan Moats and his wife, Amber, Ethan Moats, Grace Radford, Amelia Radford, and Joshua Lyons and his wife Jessica; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Alvin and Frances Radford, Dale and Wanda Radford, and Ann Radford; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Harry Marshall.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Radford was preceded in death by his wife, Betty “Imogene” Simmons Radford; a daughter, Regina Radford; a grandson, Jacob Simpson; and two brothers, Arliss Radford and Wendell Radford.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 2:00 PM at White Plains Friends Meeting Cemetery, with the Rev. Jake Penley and Harry Marshall officiating.  No formal visitation will be held; however, family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the White Plains Friends Meeting Cemetery Fund, 849 Old Highway 601, Mount Airy, NC  27030.
