Arthur Arvidson

Mr. Arthur Arvidson, 62, of Ararat, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Arvidson was born October 9, 1946, in Bridgeort, CT, to the late Arthur and Marilyn Gagner Arvidson. He served two years in the United States Navy and also two years in the United States Army. Arthur was a member of the Catholic faith. He loved animals and enjoyed being with family and friends. Mr. Arvidson is survived by his wife of 21 years, Karen Napier Arvidson of the home; a daughter, Katrina Danielle Arvidson and her boyfriend, James Taylor, IV; a grandchild, Aiden Taylor; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Diane Arvidson of Boca Raton, FL, and Kevin and Connie Arvidson of Old Town, FL. In addition to his parents, Mr. Arvidson was preceded in death by three sisters, Marilyn Toth, Sandra Bosse, and Jeanette Arvidson; and a brother, Randal Arvidson. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2009, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, by Father Eric Kowalski. Full military honors will be conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
