Arthur Ray Edwards

Mr. Arthur Ray Edwards, age 69, of Dobson, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 23, 1954 to the late Arthur Ervin Edwards and the late Lura Mae Norman Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Edwards, Judy Cummings, and Linda Beck; and his brother, Roger Dale Edwards.

            Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Debra Moser Edwards; his children, Daniel Ray Edwards (Patricia Edwards), Delana Nichole Edwards, and Hannah Elizabeth Edwards (Chad Easter); grandchildren, Breanna Nichole Weathers, Blake William Edwards, Hayden Blake Edwards, Addison Lynn Pennell, and Paisley Kay Pennell; special canine companion, Piper Joe; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nellie and Glenn Luffman, Flora Mae and Kenneth Cobler, and Imogene Hemmings; special nieces, Julie Cummings and Amanda Largen; special nephew, Chris Edwards; and special friends, Billy Thomas and Gary Johnson. Mr. Edwards was a true Harley man and cowboy, loved hunting and music, but most importantly, he was a loving son, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service. A Celebration of his life will begin at 2:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Payne and Rev. Gurney Atkins officiating. The family wishes to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the love and care shown to Mr. Edwards and his family. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Edwards family.
