Audrey Lee Ramey

Mrs. Audrey Lee White Ramey, 94, of Mount Airy, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 27, 2021, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mrs. Ramey was born May 6, 1926, in Wilkes County, one of three children born to the late Connie Cicero and Betty Simmons White.  Audrey retired as an inspector from Quality Mills after many years of service and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth “Libby” and Richard Nunn of Westfield; a son, Mark Ramey and his friend, Lynn Cauble, of New London; her grandchildren, Michael and Amy Ramey, Nathan and Lindsey Ramey, Matthew and Elisabeth Nunn, and Vicky and John Kuhlman; her stepgrandchildren, Kim Martin and Wendy and Steve Odum; twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Peggy White and Mary Jo White.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ramey was preceded in death by her husband, Clellan Floyd Ramey; a grandson, John Tilley; and two brothers, Bill White and Kenneth Boyd White.  A service of worship and celebration of Audrey’s life will be held Friday, January 29, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Alex L. Martin officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  Due to public health concerns, attendees are requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC  27017.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
