Bailey Kinsey Elmore, Jr.

Mr. Bailey Kinsey Elmore, Jr. of Dobson, NC, passed away at his home on Monday, October 26, 2020.  He was born in Lenoir County, North Carolina to the late Rev. Bailey Kinsey Elmore, Sr. and the late Barbara Jean Tyndall Elmore.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Bailey Kinsey Elmore IV, Carrie Elmore.  He was a veteran of the US Navy, and a member of Rockford Baptist Church.  Surviving is his wife, Sharon Moore Elmore; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and William Vickery; son and daughter-in-law, Bailey Kinsey Elmore III and Kristy Elmore; Stepson & Daughter in law, Shane & Kaitlynn Oakley; two grandchildren, Billy Lee Elmore, Hannah Melton; sisters and brother-in-law, Beverly and Frankie Handy, Belinda Elmore.  Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, October 30, 2020, at Rockford Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery with full Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436.  Pastor Roy Ferguson, Rev. Dale Wallace and Rev. Joe Lambert will officiate the services.  His body will lie in state on Friday at Rockford Baptist Church from 1:30 until the time of his service at 3:00 PM.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials to the Carrie Elmore Award C/O Surry County Schools Educational Foundation, Attn.
