Barbara June Puckett Epperson

Ms. Barbara June Puckett Epperson, age 74 of Mt. Airy passed away December 1, 2006. Ms. Epperson was born October 13, 1932 in Surry County to the late Earnest Haywood and Sarah Edwards Puckett. She is survived by two grandchildren and spouses, Joey and Stephanie Epperson, Richard and Crystal Epperson all of Claudville, VA; four great grandchildren, Abigail, Justin, Tanner and Savannah a sister, Myrtle Puckett Smith of Mt. Airy; two half sister's and brother-in-law, Joyce Dawkins and Sandra Kaye and Robert Puckett all of Columbia, SC; two nieces and spouse, Gail Smith and Ron Earnest of Greenville, SC, Sharon Frances Smith of Mt. Airy, N C; special family members, Shelby Kirby, Cynthia Rigney, Frances Smith; Hospice friends, Deborah Matty, Becky Johnson, Michelle Bradwell, Chaplain Jennifer Bracey and many others Hospice workers. In addition to her parents Ms. Epperson was preceded in death by a son, Harold Epperson; a granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Epperson; a brother, Wayne Puckett. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Mt. Bethel Moravian Church by Rev. Buford Jessup and Chaplain Jennifer Bracey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Mt. Airy, N C 27030.
