Barbara Beck

Mrs. Barbara Gail Jessup Beck, 75, of Pilot Mountain, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Beck was born May 26, 1945 in Surry County, one of seven children born to the late Isom and Eunice Love Jessup. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Russell Beck; daughters and sons-in-law, Vonda and Tommy Shaw, Amanda and Toby Bryant; grandchildren, Jonathan and Ashley Shaw, Haley Shaw, Ty Brooks, Laurel Brooks, Kylen Bryant; a great grandchild, Riley Rae; sisters and brothers-in-law, Noretta and Donald Hooker, Carol Epperson, Marie and Jimmy Cain, and Jack Cardwell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by sisters, Melba Cardwell, Hilda Adams, and brother, Arnold Jessup. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 30, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Jessup Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Branch officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time for the service at the church.
