Barbara Alice Hall

Miss Barbara Alice Hall, 71, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010, at Baptist Hospital. Miss Hall was born April 11, 1939, in Surry County, to Leonard and Doris Monday Hall. She worked for many years at J.C. Penney, Inc., retired from United Technologies, and later worked at Kentucky Derby Hosiery. Miss Hall was faithful at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are two brothers, Gary Hall and Phil Hall, both of Mount Airy; a sister-in-law, Violet Hall of Cana, VA; and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Hall was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Martin; a brother, Carroll Hall; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Hall and Jenny Hall. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, by Father Eric Kolwalski. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home.
