Mrs. Barbara Jean McMillian Hall, 80, of Cana, VA, passed away at her home Saturday, July 31, 2021, surrounded by her precious family. She was born in Carroll County, VA, July 13, 1941, to the late Robert Loman and Bertie Mazie Jones McMillian. Mrs. Hall was a loving, caring person that would always greet you with her warm smile and a soft hello. She adored her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She retired from Cross Creek Apparel and was a faithful member of Paul’s Creek Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Garry Creed, Tammy and Barry Jones; a son Jerry Hall; grandchildren and spouses, Jessica and Heath Montgomery, Cody and Melinda Jones, and Casey and Tiffany Jones; great grandchildren, Braxton and Olivia Montgomery, Colt and Jade Jones, and Sophia Jones; sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Tate, and Belinda and Ray McMillian; several special nieces and nephews; and all the extended Hall Family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, James Hall; a sisters, Bonnie Sue Jones, Beatrice Mitchell, and Blanche Murphy; a brother Foy Ray McMillian, and four infant brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Darrell Tate and Rev. Justin McCreary officiating. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery in Cana, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 12:30 PM until the time of the service. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to all the extended Hall family, friends and neighbors for the food, visits, and love shared during their mother’s illness. Also, a special thanks to all the staff with Mountain Valley Hospice for the sincere care given to their mother. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suit 401, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. Anyone that would like to make a food donation, pleased take to Paul’s Creek Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall immediately following the service for family and friends.
