Barbara Christine "Bobbi" Smith Holdaway

Mrs. Barbara Christine "Bobbi" Smith Holdaway, age 62 of Ararat, VA peacefully went to be with her Lord Friday, October 12, 2007. Mrs. Holdaway was born November 16, 1944 in Surry County to the late Sherman and Viola Hurst Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Hunters Chapel Church. She is survived by her husband, Ken Holdaway of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Steve Odum of Mt. Airy, Kim and Chris Martin of Westfield; seven grandchildren, Morgan Puckett, Mallory Martin, Jordan Taylor and husband Andrew, Jessica Stanley, Raven Coleman, Elijah and Andrew Odum; three great grandchildren and one sister, Peggy Blalock; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holdaway was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Smith. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 2:00 at the family cemetery at 1085 Doe Run Rd in Ararat, VA by Rev. John McCann.
