Barbara Belle Horton

Miss Barbara Belle Horton, 90, of Fancy Gap, VA, passed away Friday, February 26, 2010, at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA. Miss Horton was born September 5, 1919, in Carroll County, VA, to Orville Anderson and Ada Mae Webb Horton. She was a retired nursing assistant and a member of Skyview Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister, Ila Davis of Fancy Gap, VA; a brother and a sister-in-law, Eldon and Sandra Horton of Fancy Gap, VA; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Horton was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters. The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 28, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Skyview Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wendell Horton and the Rev. Gary Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Miss Horton will lie-in-state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
