Barbara Ann Collins Stine

Mrs. Barbara Ann Collins Stine, 74, of Mount Airy, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 15, 2022, at her home.  Mrs. Stine was born August 22, 1947, in Surry County, one of seven children born to the late Claude J. and Leva Mary Wolfe Collins.  Barbara was a loving and devoted homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.  She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Lynette Harvey of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Carly Ann Stine and her fiancé, Cory Meredith, of Galax, VA, and Leva Alexis Harvey and her fiancé, Alexander “Alex” Rivas, of Mount Airy; two great-grandchildren, Caleah Meredith and Camillia Meredith, both of Galax, VA; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Mickey Venable and Genny and Charles Reeves, all of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Stine, Jr.; a sister, Helen Chandler; and three brothers, Sam Collins, Glenn Collins, and Raymond Collins.  A graveside service will be held Friday, June 17, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Jack Anderson officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
