Barbara Joyce White Wrest

Mrs. Barbara Joyce White Wrest, age 85 of Cana, VA, passed away Monday January 15, 2024, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mount Airy.  She faithfully served our country in the US Air Force and was a member of Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Mrs. Wrest retired from Starrett Corp.  Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Wrest Abrams and Aubrey, of Deatsville, Alabama, and Michelle Wrest Haynes and Freddy of Cana, Virginia; one son, Myles Wrest, of Cana, Virginia; two grandchildren, Chris Kelley and Kyler Abrams; and three great-granddaughters.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wrest was preceded in death by her husband, Bud C. Wrest; a son, Michael Preston Wrest; a granddaughter, Alesha Kelley; and two siblings.  A service of worship and celebration will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024, at 2:00pm at Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Brian Frazier and Pastor Tommy Vass officiating.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 132 Chadwick Lane, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030; or Bottom Road Tabernacle, 112 Bottom Road, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
