Beatrice Hubbard Stovall

Mrs. Beatrice Hubbard Stovall, age 85 of Stuart, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork, VA.  She was born on August 5, 1937, in Patrick County to the late George McKinley Hubbard and Bertie West Hubbard.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Richard Stovall: five sisters, Pauline Cruise, Juel Sewell, Christine Kirk, Callie Snead, Louise Sewell: three brothers, Ralph Hubbard, Dayton Hubbard, and Billy Hubbard. Beatrice loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and sharing her vegetables with her friends.  She loved growing flowers, quilting, and reading. She was an avid basketball and softball player in high school. 

        Surviving is one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Roger Conner of Meadows of Dan: three grandchildren, Ashley Hihn and husband, Michael of Suffolk, VA, Roger Conner II of Meadows of Dan, VA, Tammy Sarvis and husband Douglas of Aynor SC: two great-grandchildren: Hannah Grace Sarvis and Maverick Paul Hihn: one sister, Hope Hubbard Harris of Meadows of Dan, VA, and several nieces and nephews.

        Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2:30 PM at the Hubbard Family Cemetery with Bill Banks officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Moody Funeral Home.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to The Patrick County Master Gardeners Association c/o Sylvia Cummings, 1506 Central Academy Road, Stuart, VA 24171 or The Patrick County Alzheimer’s Association c/o P.O.
