Bennie Creed

Mr. Bennie Lee Creed, age 87, of Lowgap, passed away on May 10, 2021 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born on April 21, 1934 in Surry County to the late George and Pearly Lowe Creed.  Mr. Creed was owner operator of Creed Sawmill.  He is survived by his wife, Carlene Martin Creed; a daughter, Rebecca Davis; grandchildren, Brittany Creed, Jessica Davis, and Kimberly Davis; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Terrell, and Kaylee Davis; sisters, Annette Eller, Virginia McKnight; a brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Catherine Creed; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Creed was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Gray Creed; sisters, Geneva Southern, Roxie Warner, and Maurice Brandenburg; brothers, Robert Creed, Tommy Creed, Raymond Creed and Alfred Creed.  A memorial service will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Atkins and the Rev. Jack Anderson officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
