Bennie Anna Simmons

Mrs. Bennie Anna Midkiff Hiatt Simmons, 90, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at her granddaughters home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on October 6, 1931, to the late Benton Ashby and Maggie Deathridge Midkiff. Mrs. Simmons retired from Pine State Knitwear, and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Craig Hiatt, Benjie and Cathy Hiatt; a grandchild, Nikki Hull and husband Eric; great grandchildren, Hayden Grace Hull, Kaylynn Anna Hull, Adam King, and Bailey King; special friends, Donna and Daisy; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by sisters, Rachael Midkiff, Ruth DeHart, Ruby King, and Mary Lou Midkiff. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens with the Brother Josh Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at Moody Funeral home in Mt. Airy.
