Bernice Jean Primeau

Ms. Bernice Jean Primeau, age 78, of Thurmond, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the SECU Hospice Care Facility in Yadkinville NC. She was born December 11, 1943 in Holyoke MA, to the late Iris Ivan Premo and the late Irene Rose Rabideau. 

Bernie shared her passion for life with everyone she met.  She most enjoyed engaging in lively conversation with family, friends, and complete strangers that often became friends.  She was a woman of action, always planning her next adventure, and arranging meetings with long-lost relatives that she had discovered in her genealogy quests.  Bernie had an eye for beauty with the ability to make lovely things from common items.  She was a student of scripture, and the love for her study and skillful communication made her an excellent teacher.  A caretaker by nature, she had a desire for people to be happy and well cared for. She enjoyed the benefits of a life lived with honesty, dependability, and hard work.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Premo; and nephews, Jason Coker and Eric Coker.  Left to cherish her memories are her son Lorne Browe (Janeen); daughters, Dawn Browe (Keith) and Rene Russell (Michael); sisters, Barbara, Elizabeth and Brenda; a brother, Raymond Premo (Barbara); grandchildren, Dakota Browe, Ceth Crouse, Cooper Crouse, Tashina Parks, Katherine Browe, Keli Russell, Destini Russell, Madison Russell; and her canine companion, Bandit. There will be a family conducted memorial service at a later date. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Primeau family.
