Bertie Mae Dalton Isaacs

Mrs. Bertie Mae Dalton Isaacs, 86. of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Isaacs was born September 7, 1924, in Carroll County, VA, to Tom and Bertha Dalton. She was a loving step-mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are two step-daughters, Lucy Isaacs Hice and Patty Isaacs, both of Mount Airy; a step-son, Timmy Isaacs and his fiancée, Jennifer Horton, of Mount Airy; step-grandchildren, Keisha Hice and Austin Isaacs; and a step-great-grandchild, Dillon Parker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Isaacs was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Ray Isaacs; a son, Lloyd Nester; a step-son, Jimmy Isaacs; and a step-grandchild, Michelle Parker. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 22, 2011, at Nester Cemetery by the Rev. Harold Fenstermaker. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the ICU nurses, the second floor nurses, and to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for all the wonderful care given to Mrs. Isaacs during her illness.
