Bertie Mae Roberts

Mrs. Bertie Mae Bowman Roberts, 95, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation in Mt. Airy.  She was born in Patrick County, on February 3, 1925 to the late Otie and Rosie Lawson Bowman.  Mrs. Roberts retired from Adams Millis, and was of the Baptist Faith.  She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Dale McLaurin, Barbara and David Nelson; a son and daughter-in-law, Buck and Linda Roberts; grandchildren, Joel Jones, Mandy Jones and Brian Fisher, Lisa and Kirk Martin, Dana and Mark Jones; great grandchildren, Natalee, Carlee, Brea and Will Hull, T.J. and Olivia Hicks, Charlsea, Austin, and Peydon; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Ella Shelton; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Roberts; a son, Bob Roberts; a special granddaughter, Tammy Needham; sisters, Helen Hill, and Maggie Hensley; brothers, Frank Bowman and Walter Bowman.  A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rickey Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in Asbury Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at moody Funeral Home in Mt.
