Bessie Wood Bowers

Mrs. Bessie Wood Bowers, age 74 of Woolwine, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at her home. She was born in Franklin County on August 20, 1942 to the late Guy O. and Lenna Pendleton Wood. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowers was preceded in death by her husband, Lenwood L. Bowers; two daughters, Brenda B. Puckett and Jeannie Frisco; and six brothers, John, Otis, Frank, Russell, Ralph and Guy Wood. She had retired from United Elastic with over 30 years of service.

Mrs. Bowers is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and K. Dale Rakes of Stuart; two sons and daughters-in-law, L. Dwayne and Karen Bowers, Tim and Annette Bowers, all of Stuart; a son-in-law, John Frisco of Stuart; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-great-granddaughters; and a sister, Betty Dooley of Florida.
