Bessie Irene Draughn Branch

Mrs. Bessie Irene Draughn Branch, age 80 of Mt. Airy, wife of William Branch, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2006. Mrs. Branch was born June 9, 1926 to Tyre and Amelia Sladen Draughn. She worked as a supervisor at Quality Mills until her retirement. Surviving are her husband, William Ray Branch of the home; a sister, Marie Whitaker of Dobson and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Branch was preceded in death by sisters, Bertie Marion, Gracie Forrest, Emily Angel and brothers, Ed, Lester, Dallas, Sid and Nathan Draughn. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 15, 2006 at Indian Grove Family Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bessie Branch Funeral Fund at Moody Funeral Home.
