Beth Greenwood Norman

Mrs. Beth Greenwood Norman, age 79, of Elkin, NC passed away at her home on Sunday, February 18, 2018. She was born in Surry County on January 21, 1939 to the late Clarence Winford Greenwood and the late Mattie Vetra Wilcox Greenwood. She was retired from the NC Cooperative Extension Service and was a beautician. She was a member of Union Cross Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and working in her beauty shop. Surviving are her husband, Charles Ernest Norman of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Jerry Cave of Dobson; grandchildren, Mary Beth Burcham and her husband Jerry Lee Burcham; Jarrod Cave and Madison Parker; great-grandchildren, Ryker Lee Burcham, and Elizabeth Drew Burcham; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jo and Alfred Burton of Elkin; brother and sister-in-law, C.W. and Jo Ann Greenwood of Tallapoosa, GA. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Union Cross Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Tom Parker and Rev. Tim Burton will officiate the services. Her body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to the church to lie in state 30 min. before the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Union Cross Baptist Church c/o Virginia Stroud, 1993 Twin Oaks Rd. Elkin, NC 28621.
