Bettie Jean Miller Hunt

Ms. Bettie Jean Miller Hunt, 86 of Mount Airy, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy.  Ms. Hunt was born on May 21, 1935, in Davidson County, North Carolina to the late Willard Lee Miller, Sr and Geneva Gertrude Farabee Miller.  Bettie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are her son Michael Dale Hunt and wife Mary; a granddaughter, Danielle Brooke Smith and husband Kenny; another son and another granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.  Special cousin, “Tina Bird” Justine Bryant and husband Michael; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; her school mate, Shirley Wall Tillotson; her “other son” Tracy Coyte Kinder; and all her “Cousins at the Creek”.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Hunt was preceded in death by her son, Richard Dale Shaw; two brothers, Hubert Edwin Miller and Willard Lee Miller, Jr.  No services will be held at this time due to travel and COVID.  Moody Funeral Service is serving the family.
