Betty McMillian Easter

Mrs. Betty McMillan Easter age 68 of Mt. Airy, NC wife of Mr.Roscoe E. Easter passed away Friday, June 6, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after a courageous battle with Crohn's Disease. She was born February 9, 1940 in Carroll County to the late Shirley Otis and Mary Viola Strickland McMillan. She was co-owner and operator of M&W Outlet. Mrs. Easter was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Roscoe E. Easter of the home, a daughter, Sheila G. Easter, Mt. Airy, a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald A (Mack) and Mary Frances (Pudden) McMillian, Mt. Airy, three nieces and nephews and spouses, Deena and Jerry Longworth, Elkin, Lisa and Ken Boyles, Mt. Airy, Boyd and Kathy McMillian, Mt. Airy, four great nieces Allison Longworth, Nicole Longworth, Nicole King and Taylor McMillian, special friends, John Hiatt, Jim and Emily Crossingham, Wade and Margie Ayers, Laura Ann Harold, Dink Fawcett, Bill and Judy Barham, Allen and Brenda Edwards, Beth Bowman, Cydna Anne Vaughn, Christie Sheppard, Ron and Diana Ellis and Michelle Frye all of Mt. Airy, Garrison Leigh York, Germanton, Andrea Wall Stewart, Winston-Salem, NC and Lynn Shelton, Pfafftown and others too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 9, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Rev. Bud Cameron with burial to follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6:00-9:00 PM Sunday at Moody Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church Building Fund, 124 Myers Dr., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
