Betty Ann Thomas Edwards

Ms. Betty Ann Thomas Edwards, 72, of Salisbury passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at Genesis Healthcare Salisbury. She was born in Surry County on February 21, 1944 to the late Posey Elwood and Lillia Mae Deathrage Thomas Shinault. Ms. Edwards is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Thomas and Tham; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris Lyons and Terry, Carolyn Lane and Ronnie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve Thomas and Dianne, Ronnie Thomas and Patricia; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by three daughters, Darlene Beverly, Barbara Phillips, and Linda Phillips; a brother, Leroy Thomas. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Craig Key officiating.
