Mrs. Betty Jean Lankford Hundley, 81, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Patrick County on September 1, 1937, to the late Ruff and Emma Lowry Lankford. Mrs. Hundley was retired from Kentucky Hosiery, and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church. She is survived by her children and spouses, Leon and Vicki Hundley, Carolyn and Tom Spraker, Sandra Hundley, Doris and Barry Edmonds grandchildren and spouses, Jonathan and Nicole Poteat, Brandon and Kerry Ann Poteat, T.J. and Chaistine Spraker, Zachary Spraker, Misty and Mike Vawter, Dwan and Wayne McMillian, Tabitha and Jason Johnson, Chelsea and Lincoln Duncan, Willis Lee Paul and Tiffany Fulton; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a sister, Jackie Dollyhigh; a special friend, David Southern; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hundley was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Clarence Hundley; sisters, Elsie Bowman, and Margaret Fain; brothers, Junior, Bill, and Haywood Buck Lankford. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at White Plains Baptist with the Rev. David Tucker and the Rev. Bill Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church and other times at 171 Slate St, Mt. Airy, NC. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
