Mrs. Betty Potter Lambert, 75, of Mount Airy, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Lambert was born October 4, 1943, in Kingston, WV, the daughter of the late Elbra and Thursie Siffers Potter. She retired from General Motors Corporation in Flint, Michigan. Surviving are a daughter, Betty Lynn Lambert Reed and her spouse, Sean, of Mount Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Virgie Lambert and Blane and Shelly Lambert, all of Mount Airy; a daughter-in-law, Melia Lambert of Culpepper, VA; grandchildren, Jason Lambert and his spouse, Tina, Lia Lambert, Kristen Lambert, Lee "Pug" Snow, Justin "Mac" Snow, Niki Hull, and Tiffany Lambert; great-grandchildren, Halie Lambert, Dylan Lambert, and Jade McCarley; four sisters, Patsy Potter of Mount Airy, Charmaine Brooks of Lewisburg, WV, Alice Sebok of Burton, MI, and Genevieve Thomas of Ocala, FL. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lambert was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lambert; a son, Blake Lambert; a sister, Eunice Quinn; and two brothers, Roby Potter and J.D. Potter. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 31, 2009, at 2:00 PM at the home of Bobby and Virgie Lambert, 277 Druid Drive (off Sparger Road), Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Sam Holder, and burial will follow in the Ivy Green Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Friday at the home of Bobby and Virgie Lambert. The family would like to thank Betty's sister, Patsy, for being there for Betty through the years.
