Betty Lee Lyons

Miss Betty Lee Lyons, 89, of Lambsburg, VA passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Carroll County on May 30, 1931 to the late Cortez and Maggie Jarrell Lyons.  After college, Miss Lyons started her career with Hennis Motors before moving to Sealtest Milk where she worked as bookkeeper and secretary.  She retired from Brays Recapping after several years of service and was a faithful member of Lambsburg Christian Church.  She is survived by sisters-in-law, Christine, Eva, and Helen Lyons, and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents Miss Lyons was preceded in death by a sister, Claudia Bowman, and brothers, Lauren, Randolph, and Brady Lyons.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 20, 2020 at Lambsburg Christian Church with Pastor Ron Schwarz officiating.  Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church.  Miss Lyons will be at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, Monday, from 8:00 until noon for anyone to go by to pay their respect prior to the service.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Lambsburg Christian Church, c/o Randi Wilcox, 409 Welcome Baptist Church Rd., Mt.
