Betty Lou Beasley Marshall

Ms. Betty Lou Beasley Marshall, 68, of 178 Long Street, Mount Airy, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Ms. Marshall was born July 18, 1939, in Surry County, to Lillie Flippen Beasley and the late Calvin Beasley. She was employed by Perry Manufacturing for many years and later employed by Kentucky Derby Hosiery. Ms. Marshall was a member of Community Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Earlene and Jim Garzoni of Indian Trail and Sharon Annette and Mike Hayes of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Wayne and Linda Faye Marshall of Troutman; eleven grandchildren, Jimmy Garzoni and Shannon Garzoni, both of Indian Trail, Matthew Marshall, Lauren Marshall, Sara Marshall, and Sam Marshall, all of Troutman, and Hannah Comer, Haley Comer, Hunter Hayes, Candra Hayes, Chris Hayes and wife, Jessica, all of Mount Airy; a great-granddaughter, Sadie Grace Hayes of Mount Airy; her mother, Lillie Flippen Beasley of Mount Airy; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Inez and Mickey Badgett and Isabell Marshall, all of Mount Airy. The funeral service will be held Monday, February 25, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Community Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Jessup, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes before the funeral service.
