Betty Leitch Burton McCraw

Mrs. Betty Leitch Burton McCraw, 82, of Cana, VA, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012, at her home. She was born January 14, 1930, in Surry County, to the late Graydon and Pauline Finch Burton. Mrs. McCraw retired from Quality Mills. She is survived by two nephews and their wives, Allen and Judy Burton and Coley and Jan Burton, all of Mount Airy; two special nephews, Cheryl McCraw and Keith McCraw, both of Cana, VA; and a special friend and adopted son, Mark Stevens of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCraw was preceded in death by her husband, James Glenn McCraw; and a brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Ruth Burton. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 27, 2012, at Oakdale Cemetery, with Dr. Jon Cawley officiating. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy on Monday from noon until the time to depart to the cemetery for the service. The family would like to express their appreciation to the four wonderful caregivers, Sharon, Judy, Amy, and Nicole and Tri-County Hospice for the exceptional care Mrs. McCraw was given during her illness.
