Betty Sue Scales Phillips

Mrs. Betty Sue Scales Phillips, age 76 of Greensboro, widow of Fred Phillips, passed away at her home Friday, May 18, 2007. Mrs. Phillips was born in Patrick County, January 31, 1931 to Geo S. and Mary Ila Scales. She was a retired beautician. Surviving are two sisters, Virginia Scales of the home; and Ruth Smith of Mt. Airy; a brother, Moir Scales of Philadelphia, PA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Scales. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Hunter's Chapel Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Bud Cameron. There will not be a formal visitation.
