Mrs. Betty Carol Jackson Quesenberry, 75, of Mount Airy, passed away early Thursday morning, February 15, 2018, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Quesenberry was born January 10, 1943, in Pulaski County, VA, the daughter of the late Charlie and Mildred Lowe Jackson. Betty retired as a financial secretary from Wythe County Public Schools after 29 years of service. She lived a Christian life and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Mount Airy. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Dexter Cain of Mount Airy; three grandchildren, Leah Cain, Brandon Cain, and Cory Cain; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice and Cleo Surratt of Mount Airy; a brother-in-law, Bob Kell of Raleigh; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Tony Harden of Austinville, VA; and special friends, Brenda Westmoreland and Michelle Fulk, both of Mount Airy, and Kim Danley of Austinville, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Quesenberry was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Morgan Quesenberry. At Mrs. Quesenberry’s request, there will not be a formal visitation or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is in charge of the cremation and serving the family.
