Betty June Richardson Lowe

April 29, 1957 – September 27, 2023

Betty went home to Jesus on September 27, 2023.  Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Betty was born to the late Clayton (Rooster) and Essie Richardson of Galax, VA on April 29, 1957.  She married Tony in 1973 and they were married for fifty years.  They loved the beach and spending time with their grandkids, nothing made her happier than her grandchildren.  Betty was friendly to anyone she met, and her personality would light up an entire room. 

Betty is survived by one daughter and her spouse, Stephanie and Richard Roberts, and five grandchildren, Devyn Green, Carson Green, Jaylen Green and their father Michael Green, Amari Roberts and Zaydon Roberts and one great-granddaughter, Svea Green; siblings, Gray and Linda Ramey, Joe and Sharon Richardson; and several nieces and one nephew.  One brother-in-law, Mark Lowe; and Betty’s mother-in-law, Norene Lowe.  One very special friend, Debbie Combs.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Jerry Richardson.

Betty battled many health problems throughout the years and fought hard to overcome them.  She wanted more than anything to be healthy and spend more time with her family.  Her husband Tony was her main caretaker, and he will miss her presence abundantly as he learns to adjust to the new normal.  Betty was an amazing mother and grandmother, and she will be forever missed.  We all have a void in our hearts, but we know she is celebrating with all her loved ones gone on before her.  Betty go rest high on that mountain, we love and miss you.  No formal visitation will be held.  Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the family.
