Beulah Lucinda Edwards Gwyn

Mrs. Beulah Lucinda Edwards Gwyn, 82, of Park Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Central Continuing Care. She was born June 8, 1927, in Surry County, to the late Lawrence and Alice Ledford Edwards. She retired from Spencer's Inc. and was a member of Rockford Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Imogene and Buck Bowman of Mount Airy and Ann and Jewal Haynes of Hickory; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne and Edith Gwyn of Mount Airy and John Robert Gwyn of Simpsonville, SC; nine grandchildren and four spouses, Phil Bowman of Wake Forest, Derrick and Tina Bowman of Raleigh, Scott and Sandy Gwyn of Mount Airy, Angie and Matt Bunker of Mount Airy, Jonathan and Lyvonda Haynes of Mount Airy, Meredith Haynes of Durham, Kirsten Gwyn of Simpsonville, SC, Caitlen Gwyn of Simpsonville, SC, and Adam Gwyn of Simpsonville, SC; six great-grandchildren, Morgan Bunker, Arin Bunker, Wilson Bunker, Malea Gwyn, Mason Gwyn, and Nathan Haynes; a brother and a sister - in-law, Oscar and Joy Edwards of Titusville, FL; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Hattie and Deacon Jones of Orlando, FL. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gwyn was preceded in death by her husband, John Wilson Gwyn; two sisters, Edith Edwards and Virginia Lakey; and two brothers, Edward Craddock and James Edwards. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Skyline Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Milton Sewell and the Rev. Glenda Bramlet officiating. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time for Mrs. Gwyn to be taken to the cemetery for the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rockford Street United Methodist Church, 520 Rockford Street, Mount Airy NC 27030, or to the Activities Fund at Central Continuing Care, 1297 Newsome Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
