Mrs. Beulah Mae Sechrist Robertson Moore, 69, of 712 Hillcrest Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007, at her home. Mrs. Moore was born November 1, 1937, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Joseph William and Linnie Frances Spencer Sechrist. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jack Hilton Moore, Sr. of the home; two daughters, Judy Salgado and Debbie Clark and fiance, Jeff Drown, all of Mount Airy; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Tanya Robertson, Darrell Robertson, and Tim and Renee Robertson, all of Mount Airy, and Sheila Robertson of Midland, GA; two stepdaughters, Sherry Moore and Krista Moore, both of Mount Airy; a stepson, Jack Hilton Moore, Jr. of Mount Airy; eleven grandchildren, Charlie M. Robertson, III, Joshua Robertson, Heather Tolbert, Jason Robertson, Jacob Robertson, Brandy Cockerham, Jasmine Robertson, Ashley Young, Adrean Robertson, Ashton Kramer, and Justin Kramer; three stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Snow, Stacey McMickle, and Shania King; four great grandchildren, Dustin Robertson, Olivia Tolbert, Olivia Snow, and Jaden McMickle; a sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Nelson Dawson of Cana, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Brenda Angel of Mount Airy; and a half-brother and spouse, Fred and Marie Sechrist of Lowgap. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a son, Charlie M. Robertson, Jr.; a granddaughter, Tiffany Renee Robertson; and two sisters, Burnice Faye Sechrist and Joann Slate. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Bill Spurlin, and burial will follow in the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes before the funeral service. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Surry County Senior Services for their love, care, and kindness shown to Beulah during her illness. They would also like to thank Mount Vernon Baptist Church for all their love, cards, visits, and, most of all, their prayers during Jack and Beulah's illness and since her passing.
