Mrs. Beulah Vaye Martin Moser, 82, of 492 North Franklin Road, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Moser was born July 9, 1927, in Surry County, daughter of the late Joe and Nora Collins Martin. Beulah worked at Spencer's Inc. for many years and later retired from K-Mart. Her love of crocheting provided many warm afghans for patients of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care. She is survived by two daughters, Marty Moser Montgomery of Mount Airy and Judy Moser Cline of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren and their spouses, Robbie Montgomery of Asheville, Christine and Jeff Jessup of Mount Airy, and Brooke and Matthew Burrow of Lexington; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Jessup and Anna Jessup; two great-great-grandchildren, George Riley Jessup and Landon Robert Jessup; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Shelby Anthony and Lewis and Betty Anthony, all of Mount Airy; and a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Jack and Minnie Moser of Mount Airy and Virginia Boyd of Orange City, FL. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moser was preceded in death by her husband, George Lee Moser; two sons-in-law, Robert Montgomery and Bobby Cline; and a sister, Ruth Collins. A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 4, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Darrell Tate officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, and other times at the home of Marty Moser Montgomery, 101 Monarch Court, Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
