Beulah Florence Whitaker

Mrs. Beulah Florence Warden Whitaker, 84, of Seven Lakes, NC, formerly of Mt. Airy, passed away at her home Friday, June 19, 2020.  She was born in Forsyth County, July 31, 1935 to the late Dolphus and Sula Mae Warden.  Mrs. Whitaker was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She was a devoted Christian, and enjoyed working in her church, Hills Grove Baptist as long as her health permitted.  .Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and son-in-law, Shelby and Matt Graybeal, and Patricia Bondurant; grandchildren, Matthew Graybeal, Luke Needham, and Renee Darnell; several great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Vickie and Larry Bottoms, and Patsy Newman.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitaker was preceded in death by her husband, Byrd Edgar “Junior” Whitaker, Jr.; a daughter, Cathy Elizabeth Darnell; and a son, Donald Gray Darnell; five sisters, and eight brothers.  A graveside memorial service will be held at Hills Gove Baptist Church in Plot Mountain, at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 19, 2020.  The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the caregivers and hospice staff for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Whitaker during her illness.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
