Beverly Denise (Hutchens) Bennett

Mrs. Beverly Denise Hutchens Bennett, 67, of Pinnacle, her faith became sight Tuesday night, June 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Bennett was born March 29, 1957,in Surry County to the late Herbert and Annie Beck Hutchens. Denise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was a faithful member of Bear Trial Baptist Church while her health permitted; she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving is her husband of 48 years, J.D. Bennett, a daughter and son-in-law, Nicole Bennett Grubbs and Pastor David Grubbs; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan Bennett and wife Michelle; five grandchildren, Ashley Bennett, Sara Grubbs, Alyssa Bennett, Riley Bennett, Kannon Bennett; two great-grandchildren, Walker Bennett, Kollins Croom; one sister, Janice Handy; three brothers, Donald Hutchens, Dean Hutchens, John Hutchens; several nieces and nephews; and her special dog, Buddy. Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Bear Trail Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Crotts, Pastor David Grubbs, and Brother Dean Hutchens officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, June 24, 2024, at Bear Trail Baptist Church from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
