Billie Joy Payne Johnson

Ms. Billie Joy Payne Johnson, 68, of 836 Willow Hill, Mount Airy, passed away Sunday morning, March 6, 2011, at Central Continuing Care. She was born July 6, 1942, in Surry County, to Cephus Poe and Ruby Frances Johnson Payne. She retired from Renfro Corporation and was a member of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Kevin Hall of Mount Airy; two sons, Jeff Johnson and Timmy Johnson, both of Mount Airy; and five grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 7, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Mr. Harvey Arrington officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030 to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
