Billy Gray Alderman

Mr. Billy Gray Alderman age 71 of Dobson, NC; husband of Mrs. Pansy Greenwood Alderman passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born November 10, 1949 in Surry County to the late Clyde and Betty Beatrice Whittington Alderman. He was retired from Westinghouse as a turbine blade straightener. He was currently employed part time by the Surry County Recycling Center and enjoyed the game of golf. Mr. Alderman was a member and past master of Round Peak Masonic Lodge 616 AF&AM. He was currently serving as the treasurer of Round Peak Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was the building manager for the Dobson Community Center. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Pansy Greenwood Alderman, two sisters, Linda McCord and Betty Anderson, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Alderman was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Littlejohn and a half-brother, Bruce Whittington. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 21, 2020 at Skyline Memory Gardens. The service will be conducted by Dr. Billy Nale. Full masonic rites will be conducted at the graveside by Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF&AM. The family will receive friends 1:00 PM Monday at Moody Funeral Home until time to go to the cemetery for the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Oxford Orphanage, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, the family request that all people attending the graveside service wear mask.
