Billy James Branch

Mr. Billy James Branch, 56, of 421 Dunmans Alley, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at his home. Mr. Branch was born September 1, 1950, in Forsyth County, to Virginia Helen Gwyn Goad and the late James Thomas Branch. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Marsha and Dennis McCown of Germanton and Denise Branch of Greensboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy James and Niki Branch of Perry, FL; five grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Helen Gwyn Goad of the home; two sisters, Gwyn Austin and Regina Crabb, both of Mount Airy; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Larry Branch, Lawrence Branch, Mark and Debbie Branch, Nelson and Robin Branch, and Joe and Kim Goad, all of Mount Airy; and his maternal grandmother, Margie Gwyn Gwyn of the home. In addition to his father, Mr. Branch was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clarence Junior Goad. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 9, 2007, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Johnny Hawks, and burial will follow in the Bear Trail Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
