Joe Bill Branch

Mr. Joe Bill Branch (Pete), age 78, of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on December 19, 2021. He was born on September 17, 1943, to the late Howard and Anna Branch. Joe Bill started his life-long career in the furniture industry at Myrtle Desk at age 18, which led to him owning his own business, “Branch’s Custom Finishing” having retired at the age of 65. He was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had many great hobbies. He loved riding horses and motorcycles and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife/high school sweetheart of 40 years, Dianne White Branch of the home; four children, son and daughter-in-law Jody Banks and Savannah Branch of Lowgap, NC, daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Aaron Royal of Dobson, NC, daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Jamie Pack of Mount Airy, NC and son, Chad Chilton of Royal Oak, MI. He is also survived by many grandchildren, Autumn Royal, Luke Royal, Cameron Pack, Christianna Brewster, Graeson Pack, Kaylee Branch, Jayden Branch, Jackson Branch and Alex Spainhour; brother and sister-in-law, William Neal and Betty Branch of Elberton, GA, and widowed sister-in-law, Pat Branch of Mount Airy, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Also, his best friend of many years, Leon Bowman of Kernersville, NC. Joe Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Anna Branch, brother, Curtis Branch and sister, Mary Frances Joyce. Joe Bill will be very well missed. Until we meet again, we love you so very much and you will remain in our hearts forever. A family conducted memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church of Mount Airy. The family will accept family and friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the church with the service to begin at 5:00 pm.
