Billy "Jay" Brindle

Mr. Billy "Jay" Brindle, age 86 of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.  Mr. Brindle was born March 21, 1937, in Surry County to the late Charlie and Evie Norman Brindle.  Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  Surviving is his wife, Linda Martin Brindle; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann Bedwell and Ricky; two stepdaughters, Michelle Burkhart, Marie Diaz; two grandchildren, Jennifer Lawson, Jamie Edmonds; seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette Brindle Hogge and Walter, Kay Brindle Newman; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Brindle and Brenda, Fred Brindle and Lucille; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to this parents, Mr. Brindle was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jean Brindle Stanley, Lorena Brindle Jester; and one brother, Charlie Brindle, Jr.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
