Billy Wayne Collins

Mr. Billy Wayne Collins, age 60, of Mt. Airy, passed away on May 18, 2022 at his home.  He was born on March 8, 1962 in Pierce County Washington to Roger and Jane Arakawa Collins.  Billy proudly served our country in the United States Army.  He also was very passionate about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He loved sharing his faith with others and his favorite saying was “He changed me!”.  Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Roger and Jane Arakawa Collins; sister and brother-in-law, Jana Harold (Jimmy); brothers and sisters-in-law, Marty Collins (Jennifer), Joey Collins (Shannon), Tracy Collins; nieces, Jessica Collins, Brittany Harold Utt (Michael), Kara McCloud (Chris), Sara Collins, Kaci Collins; nephews, Joshua Harold, Gavin Collins, Levi Collins, Logan Collins; great-nephew, Asa Jeremiah McCloud; special friends, Mark Johnson (Christy).  A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Roger Collins and Rev. Teddy Hiatt.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens with military honors by VFW post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time for the service at the funeral home.
