Billy Ray Coon

Mr. Billy Ray Coon, age 64, of Mount Airy passed away Tuesday July 21, 2020. Mr. Coon was born in Surry County, September 23, 1955, the son of the late Oscar Monroe (Pete) Coon and Nannie Lou Heath Coon. He worked at the North Carolina Granite Corporation and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Ms. Penny Warren, Greg and Beverly Johnson, Chris Coon, Krystle Coon, and Jimmy Gray Coon; great nieces and nephews, Abigail Johnson, Laken Warren, and Garrett Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Moser, his brother, Pete Coon, and his niece, Sheila Coon. There will not be any service for Mr. Coon at this time. Moody Funeral Service is serving the Coon family.
