Billy Ray Francis

Mr. Billy Ray Francis, age 49 of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 at his home. Mr. Francis was born in Surry County, August 17, 1957 to Ruth Rakes Francis and the late Wade C. Francis. He was formerly employed with EMCO Trucking of Elkin and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is his wife, Norma Francis of Winston-Salem; and his loving mother, Ruth Francis of the home. In addition to his father, Mr. Francis was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Sue Francis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 21, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Doug Butcher, Rev. James Odum and Rev. Zane Fishel. Burial will follow in Oakdale cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home.
