Billy Gray Hiatt

Mr. Billy Gray Hiatt, 68, of 1287 Newsome Street, Mount Airy, went to see his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 8, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Hiatt was born March 1, 1938, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Granville Cecil and Mildred Vera Sutphin Hiatt. He served our country in the United States Navy and was a retired sheet metal mechanic. He is survived by a daughter, Christine Hiatt of CA; a son, Michael Hiatt of CA; and a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Dianne Hiatt of Raleigh. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hiatt was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hiatt; and a brother, Lee Roy Hiatt. Graveside services will be held Wednesday January 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery with services conducted by Chaplain Todd Byrd. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
