Mr. Billy Ray Hiatt, 74, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born January 1, 1947 in Surry County to the late Coy Chester “Bill” and Ova Sechrist Hiatt.  Mr. Hiatt was employed at Sparks Contracting, Inc. in Clemmons, and attended Temple Baptist Church.  He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Quesinberry Hiatt; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Whinsenhunt (Wayne), Kristy Moser (Brian), Jennifer Hiatt (Vicky Allen); grandchildren, Dylan Hiatt, Tyler Jones, Zack Welch, Taylor Welch (Allison),, Yana Welch (Colton), Johannes Arnold, Amber Whisenhunt, Justin Whisenhunt, Addison Moser, Charlotte Moser; three great grandchildren, and Emory due in May; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donny Hiatt (Geraldine), Jerry Hiatt (Marcia); many nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Zane Fishel officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.   Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 3615 Rockford St., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy is serving the Hiatt family.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
