Billy James "Dodger" Hodges

Mr. Billy James “Dodger” Hodges, 87 of Mount Airy passed away early Tuesday morning at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Hodges was born on April 8, 1934, in Surry County to the late Willis and Lillian Clement Hodges. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Rachel Berrier Hodges; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Wilmoth husband Ronnie; two sons and daughters -in-law, Mickey Hodges and wife Jennifer, Michael Hodges and wife Jules; five grandchildren, Dale McKnight, Jr., Dusty Hodges, Ashley Hodges, Savannah Hodges, Dodger Hodges, six great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Hodges, J.C. Hodges, and David Hodges; along with several nieces and nephews. All services will be private.
