Billy Gray Venable

Mr. Billy Gray Venable, 69, of 1565 Old Highway 601, Mount Airy, passed away Friday morning, March 6, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Venable was born May 6, 1939, in Surry County, to the late Clyde William and Stella Stewart Venable. Billy was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Haymore Memorial Baptist Church. Venable was co-owner and operator of Triangle Heating and Cooling Company for 44 years. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and Raymond Jones of Cana, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, J.C. and Charlean Venable of Mount Airy; a niece and her husband, Cara and Larry Fields of Forest, VA; a nephew, Jody Venable of Mount Airy; two great nieces, Casey Maddox and Lori Easter, both of Amherst, VA; a great nephew, Will Easter of Lynchburg, VA; a special aunt, Stella Cleary of Mount Airy; and a longtime friend, Juanita Parker of Mount Airy. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 9, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Robert McCrary officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
